Exercise for the spirit: Nurture your Heart & Soul

 

Exercise for the spirit, sometimes known as "INNERCISE", is just as important as EXERCISE for the mind and body. A positive self-image is crucial to obtaining wholeness and happiness.  Many have transformed their lives by learning to value who they are inside. If you don't know how to love yourself and how to go from self-loathing to self-loving, you might begin with a simple innercise. Again, consistency is key. It may feel a little awkward at first; keep practicing for beneficial results.

Following is an example of an innercise that can have a profound effect on self-image. Some people find it awkward to ask others this question, but it may be worth your while:

  • Ask a minimum of three people why they love you. Write down the answers and read them every morning. This will help you to understand your value and significance to others.
